Week 12 Story Lab

 For my lab this week, I explored the Writers Write website. The website includes many different articles and tips on how to enhance your writing. My favorite article was " 7 Things You Can Do With Dialogue In A Story ." I found this particular article interesting because dialogue is something I have been trying to work on with my own stories in this class, and especially with my portfolio. It is much easier to write a story without dialogue. It is a lot faster and simpler to just tell an entire story in the third person. However, dialogues greatly enhances storytelling and makes the story much more interesting. Dialogue helps the reader get to know the characters and feel like they are being pulled into the story. The article covered this, as well as many other points about dialogue. Introduction to Carly the Future Counselor

Hi! My name is Carly Capulli and I am a junior at the University of Oklahoma. I will be graduating this December, with a major in child psychology and a minor in Spanish. Personally, I think that my major is really interesting. I get to study how the mind works and why people are the way that they are, with a specific focus on children. I absolutely love kids! I have known since I was a child that I would one day work with children in some way, and that has never changed. I have never even changed my major! After attending graduate school, my ultimate goal is to become a trauma counselor for children in the foster care system. Last semester was tough for everyone I can imagine, however I did feel very accomplished in that I achieved A's in every one of my classes, with all of them being fully online.
